1350m range 15mm @150m accuracy 4.5kg ARS-1000L lightweight UAV LiDAR System applied for geological disaster monitoring

Due to the dense vegetation, most mountainous areas in China are prone to geological disasters such as landslide, collapse and dangerous rock falling. Traditional optical remote sensing technology, UAV low-altitude aerial photography and other technologies cannot obtain real surface information under vegetation, and the geometric accuracy of data is affected by weather factors and sensor types, so there are certain limitations in early identification of potential geological hazards.

Airborne laser measurement system is a new measurement technology gradually developed at present. It can not only obtain the 3D laser point cloud reflected from the ground, but also provide high-resolution and high-precision 2D topographic image data. Through the "multi echo" technology of ARS-1000L airborne laser measurement system, it can penetrate the vegetation gap directly to the surface, which is more conducive to carry out geological disaster investigation in densely vegetated areas such as forest areas and mountainous areas. Generally speaking, its limitations are less than traditional aerial photogrammetry, and will gradually become a more widely used and advanced surveying and mapping method in the surveying industry.
